Our Leathers

We source our leathers globally, using highly trusted and respected tanneries. When able, each hide is handselected by us. This allows full quality control from the tannery to your pocket or shoulder.

Design

The smallest idea can become a wallet, bag, or various other leather goods. We craft our leather goods around both the design we envision and the leather.

Hand Tools

A vast array of hand tools help us create. From scissors to pricking irons, each tool has a purpose and a place on our workbench.

Hand Sewing/Stitching

We hand sew using the saddle stitch method, which uses two needles to weave in and out of slits punched/pricked into the leather. While sewing the leather is held within a “pony” . This type of sewing is an extremely durable and strong method; however, more time consuming.

Threads vary by which method we use to craft the leather good. Our selections of threads just like our leathers are sourced globally (Germany & Japan) from trusted and repected manufactures within the leather industry.

Finishing Touches

A finished edge on a leather good is not only the sign of a quality product but it helps extend the life of that item. We finish the edges of our our products with various items, from burnishing (the process of “slicking or smoothing” leather edges) to paints.

Burnishing a wallet depending on it’s size can add hours to the crafting process.
